It’s only a short boat ride from the Spit pontoon to the open sea, through the safer Gold coast seaway rather than out from the more dangerous Tweed river bar and the South passage bar, and a lot quicker than crossing Moreton bay.
With the closest reefs laying just a few kilometres off the Seaway entrance and extending out east to the deeper grounds. There’s plenty of fishing grounds to explore.

We can take you offshore reef fishing all year round, targeting Snapper, Cobia, Pearl perch, Tuskfish, Teraglin, Moses Perch, Spangled emperor, flathead, kingfish and Maori Cod are just some of the species you can expect to chase on your trip.
We will show you how to use live bait for the Bigger fish species like Kingfish, Cobia, Mulloway, Amberjack and Samson Fish. We operate Game Fishing Charters during the Warmer months (December to March) Targeting Black Marlin, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Mackerel and various Tuna. No Fishing licence is required as we don’t fish south of the Queensland border and its not a requirement in Qld. Quality Shimano and Penn rods, reels, all bait and terminal tackle supplied. You keep your catch and we’ll gill and gut it and bag it for you.
